The Third Eye Chakra or 6th Chakra is a psychic eye of perception located between and slightly upward of our 2 physical eyes.

The 3rd Eye allows us to see beyond our physical world into the world of creative visualization, intuition and psychic ability.

It is connected to light and the pineal gland, which is a light-sensitive organ. This might suggest its metaphysical connection between the physical and spiritual worlds.

When out of balance, you may experience headaches, poor eyesight or chronic sinus issues.  You may also struggle with feeling a lack of purpose.

When aligned, your imagination could lead you to sources of inspiration as you experience a strong connection to your inner wisdom and intuition and can “see” from a new perspective.

Many connect this chakra with the color indigo. I follow the color system of my crystal bowls, which has purple for the 3rd eye.

Amethyst is a great 3rd eye crystal as it helps relieve headaches and tension, and links the physical, mental and emotional bodies with the spiritual.

Try tapping the 3rd eye area to help open and stimulate this chakra while repeating the affirmation “I see clearly”.
