The Reproductive System for Females consists of; Gonads, Ovaries. Accessory Organs; Uterus, Fallopian Tubes, Vagina, Genitalia, Vulva, Mammary Glands (Breasts) and for Males; Gonads, Testes, Genital Ducts, Ductus Deferens, Urethra, Accessory Organs; Prostate, Genitalia, Penis, Scrotum.
Okay, here is a VERY simplified version of the birds and the bees.
One of the main functions of the Reproductive System is that of producing the egg and sperm cells that are responsible for procreation.
In the female, both the primary and accessory organs function together to produce, receive and permit the potential fertilization of the sex cells (ova or egg for women, sperm for men), and then nurture the developing fetus. The production of female sex hormones is also a function of the Reproductive System.
In the male, both the primary organs and the accessory organs work together to produce, transfer and introduce sperm to the female reproductive tract, where fertilization can occur.
