Neem Leaf

In its native India, Neem leaf has been recognized for centuries for its anti-inflammatory properties. For centuries, it has been used in cooking, Ayurvedic medicines and for hair and nail care.

In the neem tree, the elements (warmth/fire, air, water and earth) are very evenly balanced in their respective roles. None of them appear to predominate. This gentle, balancing nature, and its ability to strengthen, make neem ideal for hair, lashes and nails.

Neem has traditionally been used to support a healthy scalp by soothing irritations, balancing skin and discouraging flaking. Traditional Indian hair treatments use a neem tea rinse and packs of neem leaf pulp for conditioning.

Neem leaves have been used by WALA ever since Elisabeth Sigmund brought home this medicinally valuable tree from a study visit to India in the 1960’s.

Neem is found in the following Dr. Hauschka products:
Eye Balm, Clarifying Day Oil, Revitalizing Hair and Scalp Tonic, Strengthening Hair Treatment, Neem Nail and Cuticle Oil, Neem Nail and Cuticle Pen, Volume Mascara and Brow & Lash Gel.
