What does self love have to do with your skin?
Emotions have such a particularly powerful effect on the condition of your skin.
A lack of self love and acceptance can show up in your skin in many ways; as a ruddy or dull complexion, a rash or skin breakouts, a red or irritated nose (the heart region in Chinese medicine), puffy eyes…you get the picture.
The heart is aggravated by stress and unresolved emotions. This can affect your blood and life force energy, causing physical and energetic stagnation as well as poor lymph functioning and toxic buildup.
The solution; Love yourself and be free!
The theme for February is Love. (If you missed my crystal grid video for Love, you can view it here.)
When you think about Valentine’s Day and February, what comes to mind?
Pink roses, red hearts, chocolate, LOVE?
However, many people feel sadness and disappointment around a holiday that focuses so much on romantic love. One way around this is to make February all about YOU and to prioritize self love and self care.
Loving and accepting yourself and letting your inner light shine is the cheapest and safest way to achieving a glowing skin!
Self love and self care suggestions:
Practice some sort of breathing meditation. Breath and heart health are intimately related to skin health.
Light some candles, draw a bath, throw in some aromatherapy and let the “noise” of life melt away.
Care for your skin in a gentle and conscientious way. Create a daily cleansing ritual and take the time to send yourself some love each time you touch your face.
Attend to your emotions. Give yourself space, compassion and time for healing.
Write yourself little love messages and place them strategically around your surroundings.
Look at yourself in the mirror and say “I love you”.
Give yourself permission to receive love and nurturing touch. Book a healing Dr. Hauschka treatment today. As a bonus, I will be giving out FREE travel sized Daily Hydrating Eye Cream with each facial treatment, while supplies last.
What are your go to self love/self care rituals? I would love to hear from you.
