Sun Care Protection Tips
What’s a world without sunshine?
Sunlight brightens our moods, lifts our spirits and provides us with essential vitamin D.
It’s important to get out there and enjoy a sunny day. However, as with everything in life, moderation is key. Many so-called signs of aging are in fact the result of overexposure to the sun. Therefore, it’s important to limit long-term exposure and to protect your skin from potentially harmful UVA and UVB rays with a natural, gentle and effective sunscreen.
Is Your Sunscreen Toxic?
Here is a list of some unsafe, toxic chemicals used in sunscreens
- Para amino benzoic acid
- Octyl salicyclate
- Oxybenzone
- Cinoxate
- Dioxybenzone
- Phenylbenzimidazole
- Homosalate
- Menthyl anthranilate
- Octocrylene
- Methoxycinnamate
- Parabens
When possible, stay away from these chemicals and use natural sunscreens.
Natural minerals such as titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide block potentially harmful rays without irritating or penetrating the skin. These sun-reflecting minerals offer immediate protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
