Pamper Yourself With A Virtual Facial!
I miss seeing you! My way of connecting with you is often through my work. So, in lieu of you being here, I decided to bring myself to you, in the form of this virtual facial video:) I invite you to join me in creating some time to pamper yourself and your skin by giving yourself a facial!
DIY Masks
(No, not corona virus masks)
Don’t have any mask products around your house? No problem, you can make your own.
The mask recipes below are all taken from “Awakening Beauty, the Dr. Hauschka Way” by Susan West Kurz with Tom Monte
Avocado Mask – This is a wonderful moisture replenisher for the skin.Mash half an avocado (preferably biodynamically or organically grown.) Apply a layer about 1/8 inch thick to your clean face and let sit for 20-30 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and a facecloth.
Strawberry Yogurt Mask – This mask hydrates and brightens the face. The strawberries and yogurt contain small amounts of natural fruit and lactic acids, which hydrate and gently exfoliate the skin. These AHAs are less concentrated than commercial alpha hydroxy acids, which are often synthetic and very powerful, and therefore do not damage the epidermis. The mild acids also help soften the appearance of pigmentation problems. They can fade freckles and age spots as well.Evenly spread 1/4 cup strawberry yogurt (organic or biodynamic, if possible) over a clean face, avoiding the eye area. Let sit for 20-30 minutes. Tissue off and rinse well.
Honey Mask – This mask hydrates and purifies. Honey is used traditionally to heal and moisturize the skin. Spread raw honey over a clean face, avoiding the eye area. Let sit for 20-30 minutes. In order to promote pore cleansing, tap your fingers lightly around the areas of the skin where pores may be clogged. This action creates tiny suctions that help dislodge clogged pores and blackheads. Rinse well with warm water.
